well. hello again xanga world. let's skip the part where we discuss my complete lack of xanga post loyality and get right to the joys and sorrows of my past two months.

Joy- living on second floor new part (that includes u erin. we all know it's where u belong). my frequently un-clothed girls r the most lovely, graceful, and down-right spectacular people u could hope to live near.
Sorrow- missing my family. turns out second year a way from home is harder than the first. who'd a thunk?
Joy- getting A's (that's right Bio, i will kick your ass)
Sorrow- missing my boyfriend. whoever decided to put ND and KS so freaking far apart wasn't much of a thinker.
Joy- mexican room mates :)
Sorrow- decision 2007. what will tiff do with her post-hesston life??
Joy- HSWA (women of hesston unite)
Sorrow- being damn poor
Joy- fall break. 6 friends+virginia+seeing old friends+party!+tons of new people+semi-nakedness= the most kick ass fall break ever!
Sorrow- losing my voice and some hearing ability during fall break
Joy- radio station card games........(aka illness can't stop a badass hesston lady)
Sorrow- coming home from fall break
Joy- coming home from fall break (i missed my hesston family)
Sorrow- having to get homework done tonight and really really not wanting to

i guess that's the summary. jeepers. life is busy and exciting and overwhelming. i like it.

farewell minnesota

trees and lakes. i like them. kansas doesn't have them. this is the source of my pain today. i mean, i have the hardest time accepting it when i can't go jump in a lake whenever i very well please. it irritates me to be able to see for miles in any direction. i want to be able to drive down to the edge of a lake at 12:30 at night and smoke a cigar with my underaged friends!!

i hate sidewalks. i hate ponds that have a paved path around them. i hate houses that barely have enough space to walk between them. i hate video games and cable.

hesston is a nice little town. but my heart belongs in the boondocks of minnesota. these redneck hicks are a part of me. i am a redneck hick. i like gardens and long driveways. i like having little neighborhood kids around all the time. i like trailerhouses god dammit!!

*sigh* i love my hesston family. i love school. but i hate leaving.

ack! summer's is overwhelming

so it seems my last entry was in june. that was quite a while ago. i'm gonna do a real quick rundown of my life this summer since i last updated:

camp was fantastic. six weeks of fun times in iowa. met new people. had some laughs. played with kids. and then got paid for it. not bad at all.

my camp: glorious. i mean, iowa's great, but it's nothin like ncc camp. i love u all.

^ me and my fellow sumo gangstas. word.

^ me and the other stunning female staffers takin it too far at banquet.

and then i got home. and went to work teaching/song leading at VBS at my church. cutest kids eva. eva eva.

^ nelly heather and i in our VBS island apparel.

^ i told u they were cute. this is crazy hair day at bible school.

^my brother and his friend, also during crazy hair day.

^ me with some of my class. yes i am wearing rainbow suspenders. it was mis-match day.

not 2 days after teaching the small children about jesus, me and a couple of my friends headed to the casino for a night of free-pop filled fun. it was great cuz if it's your first time there, u can give then 10 bucks and they give u back 20. so we played only with the money they gave us and ended up braking even and making an extra 7 bucks or so. plus i got a purse full of free moist towelets and matchboxes and like 4 cups of free pop on my way out. god bless slot machines.

and then this weekend, me and my fam smushed 8 people into a 7 passenger van and headed for a family get together in wisconsin. it was great times. and at the martin gathering, an awkward time was had by all. woot for family.

other than that, i've been working for dad as often as i can so that i won't start the school year flat broke.

speaking of which, i had a dream last night about opening weekend and i've been missing all my hesstonites ever since. i can't wait to the begin the year of the naked in less than 2 weeks. woo woo!!

in conclusion, it's been a fantastic summer. so if u have the opportunity, teach some kids about our lord, laugh it up with family and friends, make some money, and then go gamble it away. it's sure to bring u happiness.

oh what to say. welp my first week of camp (actually it was staff orientation but still) has ended and it was pretty amazing. i mean nothing compares to sandhill (the true camp) but it was really really fun. and i've never met a more open/ridiculously fun group of people when i've only known them for a few days. it's crazy though. for those of u who know our camp, this camp is pretty much it's polar opposite. i swear this people have no idea what makeup, hair curlers, or more than 5 minute showers are. i've never been so grundgy in my whole life i don't think. plus they do all this like, hiking and sleeping outside stuff. crazy i know. i never thought about the fact that our camp is pretty much camp for wimps. but hey, i like it that way.

i am deeply missing home though. although i adore my new friends, none of them appreciate pink the way i do (shanda & kayla), no one shares my love for candy corn and cadbury creme eggs (tamara), no one can tell me the exact location or time or mileage of any random thing (jill), and no one appreciates my need to "pick" (ally) (that pick chex mix, no noses), and no one will let me kiss them (kevin). and all u hesstoners. know that every moment i spend without u equals 3 moments of fantastic good times we'll have together in but a few months.

i like u all.
